- DAY 1
You will be picked up from your overnight accommodation in Kampala and transferred to Jinja. Visit the source of the River Nile (the world’s longest river) and then head for Bujagali Falls. Meals and overnight at Jinja Nile Resort or Gately on the Nile. Meal Plan – Lunch and dinner. TRANSIT TIME 1.5 HRS
- DAY 2
Transfer westward to Lake Mburo Park,. Along the way, stop over at the Uganda Equator and the crafts village at Mpambire and shop for a souvenir. Take pictures of the long-horned Ankole cattle before arrival for lunch at Mantana Luxury Tented Camp or Mihingo Lodge. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner. TRANSIT TIME 4 HOURS
- DAY 3
Morning game drive in the park. With its unique characteristic of acacia woodland, it is the only national park where you can see the beautiful gigantic eland. Surrounding Lake Mburo are swamps where hide secretive papyrus specialists such as the Sitatunga antelope and red, black and yellow Papyrus Gonolek. Return to camp for lunch and in the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Mburo for a closer view of the hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife. Return for dinner and overnight at the Mantana Luxury Tented Camp or Mihingo Lodge. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- DAY 4
After breakfast, depart for the Gorilla Sanctuary of Bwindi through the beautiful terraced mountain country referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Meals and overnight either at Sanctuary Lodges - GFC or Buhoma Homestead. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner. TRANSIT TIME 4 - 5HOURS.
- DAY 5
Early morning breakfast; ranger allocation and an adventure through the forest, tracking the mountain gorillas. You will find a gorilla family within 30 minutes to 8 hours. After a picnic lunch in the forest and an hour with the gorillas, return to base for dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Lodges - GFC or Buhoma Homestead. Meal Plan - Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- DAY 6
Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park through the bottom of the East African Rift Valley and through Ishasha, the area famous for its tree climbing lions. Final transfer to Jacana or Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner. TRANSIT TIME 3 - 4 HOURS.
- DAY 7
After a morning cup of tea at about 6:30am, depart for a game drive along the Kasenyi track. You may see lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, hyenas, and warthog, etc. Return to base for breakfast. In the afternoon, take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel, believed to have the largest concentration of hippo in Africa. It is also a paradise of local and rare migrant birds from Europe and Asia. Dinner and overnight either at Jacana or Mweya Safari Lodge. Meal Plan - Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- DAY 8
After breakfast, transfer to the Chambura Gorge for a nature walk. Escorted by a ranger guide, you will track the chimpanzees resident in the gorge. Lunch at the lodge and in the evening; you may opt for another nature walk this time in the Maramagambo Forest on the shores of Lake Nyamusingiri. Visit the mysterious gray lake and the Bat Caves where a resident rock python feeds on the bats. Thereafter, return for dinner and overnight at the Jacana Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge.
- DAY 9
Depart for Semuliki National Park. Make an optional visit to the healing hot springs at Sempaya and thereafter, experience the thrilling winding Bundibugyo road through the Rwenzori escarpments. While in the mountains, the road offers scenic views of the meandering Semuliki River and the tropical rainforest extending to the Ituri Forest of the Congo. Arrive in time for lunch at the Semuliki Safari Lodge. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner. TRANSIT TIME 3 – 4 HRS
- DAY 10
Morning game drive in the park. Jungle life in Semuliki National Park is breathtaking especially for birders, primate, butterfly and plant lovers. You may see Uganda kob, buffaloes, elephants, Sitatungas, leopards, crocodiles, and a wide range of birds. In the afternoon, take a boat trip on the River Semuliki and get really close to nature. Meals and overnight at the Semuliki Safari Lodge. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and dinner.
- DAY 11
After breakfast, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via the Budongo Forest. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route. Arrive at the lodge for a refreshing drink, dinner and overnight at Nile Safari Camp or Paraa Safari Lodge. Meal Plan - Lunch and dinner. TRANSIT TIME 6 – 7 HOURS.
- DAY 12
After breakfast, take a guided game drive. Game in this area includes giraffes, elephants, lions, Uganda kob, warthog and a variety of woodland birds. After lunch, take a magical launch cruise to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. You may find herds of game – elephant, olive baboons, waterbuck, etc – on the shores of the river as they cool off. The shores are also a paradise of hundreds of hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at Nile Safari Camp or Paraa Safari Lodge. Meal Plan - Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- DAY 13
Breakfast early, then take another guided game drive. Return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon you may have a restful dip in the pool or a take a self-guided bird walk in the vicinity of the lodge. Meals and overnight at either Nile Safari Camp or Paraa Safari Lodge.
- DAY 14
After breakfast, transfer to the spectacular top of the falls. Here you can feel the rock literally tremble as the whole Nile River is forced into a 7-metre crevice. Thereafter, continue to the Rabongo Forest for a half-day primate eco-walk in search of primates. You are welcomed by the delightful chattering of Black and White colobus monkey; Red-tailed monkey, baboons, Grey-cheeked mangabeys or chimpanzees. Transfer to Masindi Hotel for lunch, dinner and overnight. Meal Plan - Breakfast and lunch. Transit Time: 3 HOURS.
- DAY 15
After breakfast, transfer via Luweero back to Kampala. TRANSIT TIME 4 – 5 HRS
