TOU\B112 MURCHISON FALLS, QUEEN ELIZABETH AND LAKE BUNYONYI (7DAYS / 6NIGHTS)

    DAY 1

You will be picked up from your overnight accommodation in Kampala and begin the panoramic drive north-west through the famous Luweero Triangle and Masindi town to Murchison Falls National Park. Continue to the top of the falls where you will have a picnic lunch. The falls are a beauty to behold as Africa’s mightiest river, the Nile, compresses to squeeze through a 7-metre canyon and drops 45 metres below with a thunderous roar, forming a beautiful rainbow. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge or Sambiya Lodge. Meal Plan – Lunch and Dinner. TRANSIT TIME 4 – 6 HRS.

    DAY 2

After an early morning breakfast, escorted by a ranger guide, take an early morning game drive along the Buligi Circuit. Game in this area includes lions, the legendary giant forest hog, large herds of elephants making their way down to the water, buffalo, warthog, bush bucks, etc. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, proceed on a boat cruise upstream the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls at the “Devil’s Cauldron”. The river banks are a paradise of hippos and crocodiles. Take pictures of Murchison Falls and later return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

    DAY 3

In the morning you will be transferred to Queen Elizabeth National Park via Hoima. Lunch will be enjoyed en route at the Kolping Hotel in Hoima. Thereafter, continue through the bottom of the East African Rift Valley and verdant lush green countryside to Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Institute of Ecology Bandas. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner. TRANSIT TIME 6-8 HRS

    DAY 4

After an early morning breakfast at about 6:30am, proceed for a game drive through the Kasenyi area where kobs have their mating grounds and here you will have a high chance of seeing cats like lions and leopards in action. Head on to the northern crater where you will most likely have the opportunity to view elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, baboons, waterbucks, etc. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, take a magical launch cruise along the Kazinga Channel. You will see solitary buffalo, and a paradise of birdlife. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Institute of Ecology hostels. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    DAY 5

After breakfast, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale via Ntungamo. Spend the afternoon bird-watching in the vicinity of the lodge. The Bunyonyi environs are uniquely endowed with the resident African Harrier Hawk, Yellow-backed, spectacled weavers, Levillant, etc. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Safari Resort. The lodge gives you spectacular views of the nearby Muhavura ranges and the romantic lake scenery.

    DAY 6

Morning visit to the historical lepers’ asylum which makes up the culture of the local people. After lunch, spend the afternoon cray fishing or take a boat ride on the Lake Bunyonyi to visit the neighbouring Batwa tribes. Meals and overnight at the Bunyonyi Safari Resort. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    DAY 7


After breakfast, transfer to Kampala. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route.
