- DAY 1
Depart via Mubende to Fort Portal, passing through verdant countryside and traditional homesteads. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the Mountains of the Moon. You will stay overnight at Ndali Lodge or Kanyankyu (budget) Bandas. Meal Plan – Lunch and Dinner.
- DAY 2
After breakfast, we shall move into the forest, for a half day of primate tracking. Look out for chimpanzees, phoestes, Red Colobus, Blues, Red-tailed and Grey-cheeked Mangabeys swinging through the dense forest as well as birds, butterflies and many small insects. Meals and overnight at Ndali Lodge or Kanyanchu Bandas. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
- DAY 3
Transfer to the Gorilla Sanctuary, south-west in Bwindi, ascending into the Kigezi highlands known as the Switzerland of Africa with beautiful terraces and mountain scenery. Lunch, Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Buhoma Homestead. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- DAY 4
After an early morning breakfast, you will go for a briefing from the guide who will take you gorilla-tracking through steeply forested and beautiful landscape along several animal trails. The climax of the adventure is the opportunity to view the gentle and endangered mountain gorillas, an exciting and memorable experience. After an hour with the gorillas and picnic lunches in the forest, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- DAY 5
Breakfast at leisure and thereafter transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. After lunch, take a boat ride on the lake to visit neighbouring pygmy tribes with their unique culture. For bird lovers, the Bunyonyi area is uniquely endowed with the resident African Harrier Hawk, Yellow-backed, spectacled weavers, Levillant, etc. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Safari Resort.
- DAY 6
Morning: Cray fishing or bird-watching in the vicinity of the lodge. In the afternoon, visit the historical lepers’ asylum which is central to the culture of the local people. Meals and overnight at the Bunyonyi Safari Resort. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- DAY 7
After breakfast, transfer to Kampala. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route. Meal Plan – breakfast and lunch.
