    DAY 1

Depart from Kampala early in the morning and head westward, passing via Mpambire, Uganda Equator drum makers, where you can shop for a souvenir and take pictures. Proceed to Mbarara where you will have your lunch at the Agip Motel or Regency Hotel. Continue through the bottom of the East African Rift valley to Queen Elizabeth Park, arriving for an evening game drive, dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Institute of Ecology. Meal Plan – Lunch and dinner. TRANSIT TIME 4-6 HRS.

    DAY 2

After an early morning breakfast proceed for a game drive through the Kasenyi area where kobs have their mating grounds. Here you there is a high chance of seeing cats like lions and leopards. Head on to the northern crater where you will have a high opportunity of viewing elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, baboons, waterbuck, etc. In the afternoon, take a launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel - a paradise of birdlife, hippos, solitary buffalo, etc. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Mweya Institute of Ecology. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    DAY 3


Transfer to the Gorilla Sanctuary, south-west in Bwindi, via Ishasha, the area famous for its tree climbing lions, ascending into the Kigezi highlands known as the Switzerland of Africa with beautiful terraces and mountain scenery. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp or Buhoma Homestead. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

    DAY 4

After an early morning breakfast, you will go for a briefing from the guide who will take you tracking gorillas through steeply forested and beautiful landscape along several animal trails. The climax of the adventure is the opportunity to view the gentle and endangered mountain gorillas; an exciting and memorable experience. After an hour with the gorillas and picnic lunches in the forest, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight. Meal Plan – Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    DAY 5

Breakfast at leisure and thereafter transfer to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale. After lunch, take a boat ride on the lake to visit neighbouring pygmy tribes with their unique culture. For bird lovers, the Bunyonyi area is uniquely endowed with the resident African Harrier Hawk, Yellow-backed, spectacled weavers, Levillant, etc. Dinner and overnight at Bunyonyi Safari Resort.

    DAY 6

Morning: cray fishing or bird-watching in the vicinity of the lodge. In the afternoon, visit the historical lepers’ asylum that is central to the culture of the local people. Meals and overnight at the Bunyonyi Safari Resort. Meal Plan – Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

    DAY 7


After breakfast, transfer to Kampala. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed en route. Meal Plan – Breakfast and lunch.
