Terms & Conditions When Booking Your Holiday
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
When booking your holiday with Bunyonyi Safaris Ltd, please quote your intended date of arrival and departure, the number of people traveling and tour name and/or code. This will help us meet your needs precisely and minimize unnecessary correspondence. Please pay at least a 50% deposit 3 months before you travel and the balance at least a month before your arrival date. For those intending to do gorilla tracking, gorilla permits are sold on a “first come first serve” basis. It is best that you book a permit as soon as we provide you with the information on their availability on the date(s) you plan to go tracking.
Cancellation:
Cancellation of a tour/visit should be communicated in time in writing. A refund will then be processed and effected. However, depending on the time of cancellation, the following costs shall be incurred:
1. A 15% service charge will be charged on each cancelled safari.
2. Hotels: Generally, a 50% cancellation charge within 14-35 days, 75% charge within 2-14 days and 100% charge within 48 hours prior to arrival date.
3. Gorilla Permits: Uganda Wildlife Authority or L’Office Rwandaise du Tourisme et Parc Nationales (ORTPN) will maintain the following rules upon cancellation of a gorilla permit: 0-08 days to tracking date – no refund, 09- 45 days – 25% refund, 46-90 days to tracking date – 50% refund, 91 days and above to tracking date – 75% refund. Note that the rules may change from time to time without notice.
4. Bank transfer charges.
Deposits:
Prices of a particular safari may change from time to time, this being communicated to you at your time of booking. The rates that appear here are quotations based entirely on current prevailing rates for hotels, car hire, etc.
Animal viewing
Please note that animal viewing in the parks is not a guarantee since these animals are not static, we have no control on there movement pattern, feeding times or rest, although we do all we can to track the movements of the animals during game drives, nature walks, etc
Travel Insurance:
The client is not covered by any insurance other than that provided by the laws of the country being visited. We do not accept liability for theft, damage/destruction or other loss of clients’ property. You are advised to take out travel insurance from international providers like AIG.
Liability:
1. The company and its agents act only as agents of the guest/tourist in all matters relating to tours, transport, hotel/accommodation and shall not be liable for any illness, injury or death of the client or any person named on the booking form.
2. The company will not be held responsible for any delays, cancellations, or non- acceptance of reservations. While we do our best to ensure that each program advertised is properly arranged, we have no direct control over services provided by sub-contractors.
3. The company reserves the right to employ sub-contractors to carry out all or part of the services agreed upon, as well as change the client’s itinerary should ground conditions such as weather, necessitate.
4. The laws of the country in which the tour takes place, and no other country, govern the company’s liability to passengers carried in its own vehicle.
5. While the company provides all the services to the best of its ability for your comfort and safety, it will be noted that all safaris are taken at the risk of the client(s).
